Xiaomi Redmi 1S update fixes heating issue
On Monday, Xiaomi announced an over-the-air roll-out of an update for all the Redmi 1S users in India. The system update which bears version number 45 includes major bug fixes that were reported by users over time from different parts in India. One very notable issue was the crashing of some apps like Tango and Call Log every now and then. Mr.Jai Mani has joined Xiaomi Global and Barra seems to be really delighted as per the words put down a few hours ago on the Google+ post.
Hugo Barra announced the update on Facebook and Xiaomi Global also said they have released an over-the-air system update (v45) for the Redmi 1S which is based purely on the improvement and functionality of the phone. The Xiaomi Mi3 received another update few days ago.
According to Hugo Barra, this version 45 update for India fixes a major heating issue with the smartphone by using an improved thermal control algorithm to regulate the temperature and keep it under 38-degrees Celsius in normal usage conditions which is considered better for the future and longevity of the device. There are enhancements made to the RAM Management in MIUI as we earlier also said that background apps were getting killed as in stopping abruptly where a pop up used to appear. Hugo has also stated that the update is for various performance issues like frame rate drops and even the lad which does not appear to be there now. Xiaomi will be conducting the sixth flash sale on Flipkart of the Redmi 1S today at 2PM only for registered users where 1,00,000 units will be on sale.
