Week 3 – Condensed Android
With the festive season setting in, all the top brands are busy launching and promoting their top handsets.This week three of the top end mobiles have been launched in India. This includes Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as well as Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Apple launched their devices at midnight this time as they felt the need to emphasize more on the Indian market as people are appreciating Apple.
We could see people lined up outside the iStores just before midnight. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched at a price of Rs.58,300/-.This price is still justified since the quality of the product is excellent. But this season the Note 4 is gonna face heavy competition from the Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus since they are also priced relatively close.
In other news, Google has officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop and the updates will soon start rolling out for devices.Google also has also launched two new devices, one which is a smartphone – the Nexus 6 and the other one – a tablet Nexus 9 .Both of these devices are supposed to tear down their rivals in respective segments given their cool technical specifications and comparatively low prices.
Good news for mid budget phone lovers as Motorola decides to reduce the prices for some of their devices.The price of the Moto X (1st Gen) is reduced to Rs.17,999/- while the Moto G is sold in two variants 8GB and 16GB for a price of Rs.8,999/- and Rs.9,999/- respectively. New claims are being made by hackers about stealing 7 million Dropbox passwords. At first the company stated that the news was rubbish while the hackers soon posted many passwords online in an anonymous site. This is second big security breach after the recent iCloud data being hacked.
