There were reports earlier this week that the Galaxy Mega 2 was going to be launched by the company and just today Samsung has launched the Galaxy Mega 2 at Rs.20,900/- in India. This Android 4.4 KitKat powered phablet is available for purchase on the Samsung India E-Store. Earlier on Wednesday, an established retailer from Mumbai, India claimed that the device will be in stock only for a few days.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is the rightful successor to the Galaxy Mega 5.8 and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 featuring a 6-inch TFT HD display screen with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The Galaxy Mega 2 (SM- G750HNKA) is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor that is backed by 1.5GB of RAM. We would like to inform you that the chipset has not been declared.
Apart from being based on Android 4.4 KitKat and 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB), the device has a 8MP primary camera with LED Flash and a 5MP secondary camera. Along with all connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS, Glonass, NFC and Bluetooth, there is a 2,800 mAh battery decked inside. Various company proprietary apps like Group Play, Story Album, S Health 3.0, Smart Switch, Ultra Power Saving Mode, S Voice, S Browser, Screen Mirroring and Quick Connect are pre-installed.
There is no official word on whether the Galaxy Meag 2 is a Dual-SIm device but the other two family devices were launched in Dual-SIM, so we presume that the Mega 2 will also have the same fate of Dual-SIM facility. The device is available in two color variants, i.e Blizzard White and Cosmic Black. Also in other news, Samsung on a quiet note announced the Galaxy Core Max with listing on the China website.
