Two days ago Lei Jun (CEO of Xiaomi) shared that the company was on track to sell 60 million smartphones in 2014. Earlier today, he on Weibo he sent out a post announcing the Mi4 (4G Enabled) black variant which is set for release on 28th October 2014 in China. The Xiaomi Mi4 64GB is expected to hit somewhere in mid November 2014 which means somewhere on the 15th or 16th of November.
The Xiaomi Mi4 will support only China’s 4G TD-LTE network bands which directly means that they will only be available on China Mobile. The Xiaomi Mi4 will sport a 5-inch full HD display screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 mobile processor, 3GB of RAM, 13MP primary camera, 8MP secondary camera and a 3080 mAh battery. Being on default, it will run a version of MIUI based on Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS. The Xiaomi Mi3 and the Redmi 1S were running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
Jonathan Ive (Chief of Product Design at Apple.Inc) is not happy with the similarities seen in the Xiaomi smartphones but the handsets are managing to sell like hot cross buns.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS ?? Is the Xiaomi Mi4 design copied from Apple in terms of the iPhone ? Does it really matter ??
