HTC One M8 gets Eye Experience with Android 4.4.4 KitKat
HTC had said just two days ago that they will provide the Eye Experience software which will debut on the new HTC Desire Eye to various other HTC devices soon. The company silently and quickly launched the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the HTC One M8 to make it faster. The Eye Experience is coming to the One M8 alongside the update of Android 4.4.4 KitKat which contains some enhancements and fixes in terms of security.
The Eye Experience has an improved experience on the M8 camera software with some additional features that seem really cool mostly involving the secondary camera. HTC has been so generous to allow a One M8 user to track up to 4 faces during video chat and ensure they are within the camera’s view angle which is technically known as Face Tracking. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update includes the update and inclusion of all the features we mentioned below.
Live Makeup: Before taking a selfie a user can smoothen the skin and add required effects to make the image better for viewing and a better social experience.
Photo Booth: Merge 4 selfies into one single picture after clicking each separately.
Voice Selfie: Just be saying “cheese” or “action”, a picture will be taken or video will be recorded.
Face Tracking: Explained above.
Face Fusion: Use of two photos such as your own selfie and a photo of your favorite celebrity. Blend them together and see how you’ll look together.
Split Capture: Record the action in front of you with the primary camera and at the same time use the secondary camera for commentary. This is a neat feature.
The firmware version of the update is 3.28.401.6 and size is 252.01MB. As per news that we received, HTC is slowly seeding the update for the unlocked One (M8) units in Europe but others will be rolled out in phases shortly.
