Sony SmartWatch 2 SW2

Sony SmartWatch 2The Sony marketing strategy was quite strong for the latest addition of the smart-watch. The Sony SmartWatch 2 is considered as the world’s first Android-compatible SmartWatch with One-touch NFC.  People are not sure as to what a smart-watch should offer and what it should not. Samsung has gone all out with the Galaxy Gear while Sony has been a little more refined in their implementation.

The Sony Smartwatch 2 starts at £149 (around $200, AU$210) which is quite affordable and has a plastic feel but looks really classy from a distance. We agree that Sony has not gone overboard on design with the Smartwatch 2 which is a relatively uninspired square slab of glass, pure plastic and metal. We are not calling it ugly but just making a point that it does not break any strong grounds of quality, difference and design.

There are trio touch sensitive keys below the 1.6-inch “Transflective” LCD display screen. If you have used an Android device earlier in your life then you will be able to recognize the keys and know the function. On to the left side is a covered microUSB port to allow you to charge to the Smartwatch 2 (just like the waterproof Sony devices have those cased ports), with the flap obviously being a vital part of making the watch resistant. If you have got some nails then it would be relatively easy to open, although those lacking any length may find it a little trickier. When a USB is connected in that post, the flap remains open which is kind of an obstruction and there is a chance for it to break while use. There are various colors to pick from such as black, pink, purple, yellow and turquoise.

Android Music Players – The best of the best

I am a big Android fan and I make no bones about it. This is why I am very happy whenever I meet an Apple-to-Android convert.
