Samsung Gear S is the Tizen-powered smartwatch
There was a leak about the Motorola Moto 360 earlier this month and people seem to be really excited to see what would be the final product with all the features. Android Wear is starting to gain momentum so much so that even Google is working on something. Samsung has officially released another smartwatch which will not be based on Android Wear. The Samsung Gear S is supposed to be running on Tizen featuring a curved display just like the Gear Fit. The Samsung Gear S as of now is supposed to hot market shelves in October 2014 which leaves the company with just one month to plan out all logistics.
Intricate details such as the availability and price have not yet been revealed. The Samsung Gear S will sport a 2 inch Super AMOLED display screen with built-in 3G facility to make calls. Any device today having the 3G feature means that there will be better reception and net connectivity at all times. Since it is a Samsung product, it will be geared up with S Health and Nike+. Apart from the IP67 certification (water and dust resistant), the Gear S will provide navigation with Here Maps by Nokia. There will be no feature for FM Radio or Wi-Fi which would have been expected by users across the globe, but various sensors like the Accelerometer, Barometer, and Compass among many others will be decked. Last but not the least, the Gear S would have a 3000 mAh battery to provide a day-length of juice.
