Android captures record of 85% share in shipments

Strategy Analytics has smartphone numbers of sales for where there is revelation that Android gained even more market share during the second half of 2014 at the expense of all it’s competitors. The global smartphone shipments for Q2 2014 has reached a whopping 295.2 million units compared to 27% more than the same period last year when 233.0 million units were shipped across the globe. Out of those, 84.6% (249.6 million) were Android smartphones up from 80.2% during Q2 2013. Android has reached such an extent where they are on the verge of turning smartphone platforms into a one-horse race. Android is loved by millions across the globe and here in India there are so many devices powered by Android bought everyday.
