Android L 4.5 / 5 ‘Lollipop’ release date, news and rumors
Android L cannot be classified with all other iterations of Android because it is supposed to be the most advanced and updated. If you are still waiting for the public release of Android L, we would say that it would be taking a bit more time. Have you tried using Android L launchers, icon packs and themes on your Android device which could give you a preview of what it would be like. Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 users can have a great view of Android L as both the devices are Google’s developing and trial devices. Android L is set to be rolling out in a couple of months and it is fixed that only two companies (HTC and Nexus) are definitely supporting the update.
Google has been very generous and this is the first time that the company is allowing developers to get some hands on experience with Android L before the launch. Today we can say that the official update release would be somewhere in October to December.
Usually, Google debuts latest Android builds on the latest Nexus device in the third quarter of the year so Android L will almost certainly be the OS on whatever model is slated for release during the time.
According to source, HTC has confirmed that it will bring the Android L to the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7. In the meanwhile, Samsung, Motorola, LG and Sony have to decide and officially announce that they also will be supporting Android L.
