We has presumed that this update would be a huge and a memorable one and it has really happened. Google has called it the “biggest update in the history of Android”. According to India Today, the Android L update offers a great change in the entire user interface with enhancements with a key focus on a new “Material Design” which spans not only Android but also the Chrome OS and Google’s web apps.

The Android L release offers more than 5000 new APIs and has huge improvements which include synced notifications across Chrome OS and Android, notifications with actions, a battery life saver  and a new 64-bit run-time environment that Google calls ART. Apart from all the high end improvements, there is support for USB audio, security for enterprise, Bluetooth v4.1, a burst mode camera, personal unlocking and improved text rendering amongst others.
