Is Samsung Galaxy S5 a good choice compared to HTC One M8
Delhi : An event was held by Samsung to launch the Galaxy S5 in India. A company source told us that while the launch would take place today, it is highly unlikely that the device will be released for sale on the very same day.
There is a strong possibility that Samsung will kick-off pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 with addition to some introductory discounts and operator and services collaborations that are specific to India.
Samsung is already bundling in a bunch of cool and useful apps with the device. Samsung will start selling the phone from 11th April 2014 at a price of Rs.53,000/- (approx.) across India and this has been confirmed by the pricing details that have been released for the United States.
As per currents news that we have heard, there is no strong word on whether the company will be also launching the Gear 2, Gear Fit, Gear 2 Neo and the S Band wearables along side the Samsung Galaxy S5. We have received almost a hundred e-mails from our fans saying that they are not happy with the internal features of the Galaxy S5 and would prefer purchasing the HTC One M8. HTC has done some good work with the M8 in terms of battery and storage capacity that would make it a real good buy.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is the first phone to feature a highly capable dedicated sensor and other key features include a 16MP primary camera, a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 800 SoC which is backed up with 2GB of RAM and a new feature called the Ultra Power Saving mode that claims to give you a 24-hour battery even when your phone shows the battery capacity at 10 percent.
Apart from all the features decked into the Galaxy S5, Samsung has also made the device waterproof, which has seemingly added a bit of bulk to the handset and another unique selling point is the fingerprint scanner on the home button that lets you sign in to many services with just a swipe. We have not yet received the Galaxy S5 at our R&D Center so we are yet to experiment and review the device.
