Nestle agrees to give the Nexus 7 2013 to contest winners in India
Winners of the Nexus 7 KitKat contest in India would really need a huge pat on their back for the team effort which they carried out via e-mails, phone calls, messages and kept the world updated via their Facebook Group. A good amount of the winners complained that they were being given the older edition of the Nexus 7 rather than the 2013 model as advertised and Nestle under pressure had decided and agreed to replace the tablets.
According to the Facebook post below by KitKat, shows that the company announced that it will be contacting users who received the older version of the Nexus 7 and replacing the tablet with the new variant.
The contest was launched as a team project by Nestle and Google in the run up to the release of Android’s latest iteration dubbed KitKat and promised the winners a Nexus 7 tablet. Stating the fact that the language on the contest was vague enough to ensure confusion prevailed over which version was going to reach winners. At the same time, winners of similar contests all across the globe were being given the 2013 variant of the Nexus 7 and in India some winners complained about receiving the 2012 version of the tablet. So the current situation is a Win, Win, Win one with the team effort of all Indian winners.
