Reportedly, Google has joined hands with Audi to develop an in-car entertainment and information system that would function on the Google’s Android operating system. I know you are thinking how far Android is moving into the world. After all, it is Google !

The partnership between Google and Audi is expected to be announced next week at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas and the aim is to allow for in-car integration of music and navigation apps currently available on Android devices.

According to sources, the collaboration is expected to challenge iOS in the Car by Apple which aims to integrate users’ iPhones with their car’s on-board receiver or infotainment system. So far, Apple has signed up with BMW, Honda, Mercedes, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Ferrari and Infiniti to integrate more iOS features into their cars.
