Android 4.4.2 KitKat update starts rolling out to four Nexus devices

Android 4.4.2 Update Notification

Just within a few weeks after the Android 4.4.1 update rolling out to Nexus smartphones, Google has recently commenced rolling out a new update dubbed Android 4.4.2 for Nexus devices which include the Nexus 4Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update comes with build number KOT49H and is said to be a minor update for the Nexus device range. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update will be accessible via OTA .

According to NDTV Gadgets, the size of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update varies as follows :

  • Nexus 5 – 54MB
  • Nexus 7 Tablet – 40MB

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update brings various system enhancements for the all the Nexus devices. Notably, on the Nexus 7 the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is said to bring performance, good stability and multiple bug fixes.

Whereas for the Nexus 5, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update notification states that the update will bring in camera improvements which includes faster shooting, less shutter lag, motion blur, more accurate focusing, better white balancing for true colours and performance improvements and various bug fixes.
