According to NDTV Gadgets, Intex has launched the Aqua i6 in India for Rs.8,990/- and the device is powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with 512MB RAM. It is the first smartphone in South Asia to be based on the MediaTek’s new chipset known as the MT6582. The Intex Aqua I series of Android smartphones also has two more smartphones which include the Intex Aqua i4, Intex Aqua i5 and Intex Aqua i7. Looking at the Indian market, the Intex Aqua i6 seems like a good device which suits the price but the screen resolution and the RAM is disappointing to look at.

At the launch Mr. Sanjay Kumar Kalirona (Business Head of Mobile at Intex Technologies Ltd) said;
