Google released a new magazine and news-reading app for Android today which is designed keeping in mind all your daily reads together into one piece of software. Newsstand features both newspapers and magazines and you can add feeds from blogs and other websites too. Google says as you use the app it will learn what kinds of sources and stories you prefer and begin presenting a tailored experience from then on.
The app is launching with full length content from esteemed newspapers like Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Financial Times and various magazines such as Vanity Fair and WIRED. Although stories from various publications will be presented side by side with each other you can also import your existing magazine and newspaper subscriptions to the Newsstand. Google does not stop there as with the Newsstand app for Android you can drill down onto stories you care about which are famously known as topic tags.
