As per  the International Data Corporation (IDC) who are known best as the Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker have stated that the Android platform by Google has crossed a stunning 80% market share in the third quarter of 2013 and same can be viewed in the chat above with 211.6 million smartphones shipped in this quarter, Android continues to maintain the dominant position in the market. Android is not the only platform which is doing great. Windows Phone platform by Microsoft grew by 156% across the years reaching 3.6% market share in the third quarter of 2013. Nokia has alone contributed to 93.2% of the total shipments in this quarter.

BlackBerry stands with a good position after Windows and we could say that because the BBM app for Android and iOS had been released so Blackberry shipments have decreased.
