Samsung had promised at its Mobile UNPACKED Episode 2 event that a roll-out will be started out for the Samsung Galaxy S4 in October and we are very pleased to let you know that Samsung has kept their promise. The company has officially has just started rolling out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to the Galaxy S4 (Model : GT-I9500) and is currently available only for Russia.
Samsung is always a bit late with updating its devices to the latest version of Android but always manages to delivers the most bug free and stable software after a lot of research and development and that is what matters the most. Did you know that Samsung is the only OEM which gives its older devices the latest version of Android even after completing the 18 month update cycle.
Explaining withg an example,the company has provided the Samsung Galaxy S2 users 2 major Android updates which are the Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean and note that the Galaxy S2 is a device which was released in April 2011 and initially shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and finally ended its support in May 2013 which is a total of 25 months updates along the line.
About the new Android 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 , there are not much visual changes but there are a ton of under the hood improvements and enhancements. With the update the Galaxy S4 feels much faster than before and the benchmark scores have significantly increased.
The Android 4.3 software update for the Galaxy S4 is being rolled out in phases so it may not yet be available in certain countries at the moment but it will arrive very soon and the arrival status can be checked on SamMobile as they have a live feed.
