THE NEW FACEBOOK HOME LAUNCHER

Facebook Home – Is it worth a download ?

Facebook is one of the most popular social networking site on the planet. Likewise its Android app has millions of downloads on the Play store. But in comparison the downloads for the launcher that Facebook Inc. released is too less. This launcher is named Facebook Home and is compatible with limited high end devices on the market which includes HTC One, Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4.

The company is also making Facebook Home available on a wider range of Android handsets. Facebook Home is a launcher that allows the user to set their news feed as the home screen of their device. So people can use Facebook without going into the app or even unlocking your phone. The news feed constantly updates itself and you get to view post, photos and messages right from your Android home screen.

Though the app promises a lot it still has its problems. The interface can be to slow at times. The launcher also crashes sometimes which is another disappointment. I hope Facebook will come out with an update in the near future to counter these issues.

This app is also set to be compatible with wider range of devices in the months to follow. We really like this app but there is potential for improvement in different sectors.
