BBC updates iPlayer App to support Video downloads

BBC iPlayer users are in for a treat because the company has updated the iPlayer app for Android to include downloading of television shows. All users can also download BBC TV shows for a period of 30 days at no cost across certain Android devices. The BBC iPlayer app for Android is available on the Google Play Store and it will be updated later today in the Amazon App Store. We presume that it will take some time to appear on the Amazon App Store because of certain reasons and source has also reported.

BBC has made a note about the unique characteristics of the Android operating system , the upgraded app lets users download programs while doing other things which is not currently possible on other platforms which I would not like to name. There are some major improvements to the app for those Android handsets that are not capable of the download functionality.
