People with cheap Android smartphones start buying apps
There were many reports about Android users not downloading paid apps for their Android devices but now the time has changed. It’s great having a huge user base to show off and less great is not having much to show for it. There has been a lot of news and information past 2 months about how Android’s large market share has not translated into actual phone usage or more importantly the app-store sales on a wide basis.
A report out this week from Distimo which is an app analytics firm that estimates the revenue generated by the Google Play Store from which many Android users get their apps has grown 67% over the past half-year. This time , Google is gaining a lot. There is no looking back about the same.
A lot of growth regarding the downloads is seen in US , Korea and Japan. China is currently the largest smartphone market leaving US at the second place. Japan has enthusiastically embraced Android to a great extent. WhatsApp Messenger has changed the face of the communication world for the better and then later in came all the other apps. Facebook Messenger is being used by billions of Android users over the globe.
