Google demoed Android powered set top box

A few days ago , Google announced the Chromecast HDMI dongle in a bid to gain a foothold on the living room, but the Wall Street Journal  has made a report that Google had actually demoed an Android powered set top box that had a camera and motion sensor in January 2013. The same device was shown and displayed at CES, by Andy Rubin.

Actually the product was supposed to be displayed and shown at the Google I/O 2013 , but that never happened. So, it is not known whether the product has been killed or not. To make it more real and show that it is right , this is not the first time sources have heard about a set top box running Android. There are many other instances that can be named down in detail.
